Ranveer Singh, post-Bajirao Mastani has become the flavor of the year. Performing at award ceremonies across the board, Singh has reportedly increased his standard fee after all the success. Several Indian media reports suggest that the actor, who is currently shooting for Adtya Chopra’s Befikre is charging the same amount as Shah Rukh Khan. He has hiked his fees for live shows and perhaps even films.
And if you think after two films with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Singh will move on, think again. Several stories suggest that Singh is planning on doing a third film with Bhansali. Meanwhile Shah Rukh Khan has confirmed that he has indeed been offered a film alongside Ranveer Singh. Though he hasn’t signed the film, Khan noted that he hoped to work with Singh soon.
In between learning tango and shooting in Paris for his upcoming film, Singh is also picking up awards on a roll. His latest: the prestigious Pandit Dinanath Mangeshkar Award.
Bollywood Hungama reports: “Lata Mangeshkar, who has always presented the said award to all the previous winners (Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Rishi Kapoor and tabla maestro Zakir Hussain), will be presenting this award to Ranveer Singh via Skype.”
Singh also received the award for Superstar of the Year by Hello Hall of Fame recently and that too from Amitabh Bachchan. Not bad for a guy with no familial ties in Bollywood.
