Shahid Kapoor is growing a beard these days as the actor is simply prepping up for a role in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon. Set against the backdrop of the Second World War, this Casablanca-like love triangle has Shahid playing an army officer. The beard is integral to his look.

Shahid Kapoor has been prepping hard for the role and is doing all he can to get in sink with the character. For the character Charlie in Kaminey Shahid worked with his trainer for almost eight months to get a chiseled body and he also shaved off his head for Haider. This time, the actor is growing his beard.
Shahid’s spokesperson confirmed the news saying, “There was a lot of pressure on him to hold off growing it but he doesn’t like paste-up jobs and wants to be ready with a beard of his own when the film rolls in October. He’s really excited about reuniting with Vishal again.”

Rangoon is a film that Vishal has been nurturing for the last seven years.The film also stars Kangana Ranaut who plays an actor from the ’40s, while Saif Ali Khan is to be seen as a filmmaker.
