The celebrity world may seem all glorious from the outside but fame comes with challenges of its own. One such challenge is the constant pressure to look glamorous enough and like most individuals, it can become quite frustrating for the celebs involved. Actress Kajol, who will soon be seen making a comeback in Dilwale opposite Shah Rukh Khan, experienced a lot of scrutiny for her sense of style at the beginning of her career and while she is looking gorgeous and on-trend in her latest pictures, she still feels there is too much unnecessary pressure on actresses when it comes to their appearance.

“There is too much pressure to look a certain way and it is wrong. Somewhere down the line you don’t have a life beyond that. Every morning you are getting up and getting dressed. It takes the attention away from your work,” said Kajol, reported the Times of India.

However, unlike her contemporaries, Kajol has remained mostly indifferent to any such criticism, choosing to wear whatever she is comfortable in. “There is too much importance attached to it. You can’t get away from it. You can adapt to it or not [be bothered] at all,” she added. “You have to take a stand… I have figured a way around it so I am comfortable with it. I don’t exactly make a fool of myself in public anymore. But after a point you will see me in my pajamas. It is something innate in me. I can’t be bothered about everybody’s opinion.”

That said, Kajol has come a long way from her hey days and is looking better than ever in the promos of Dilwale as well as the public appearances she is making to promote the movie. Her wardrobe in the movie has been designed by none other than Manish Malhotra, who just celebrated 25 years in Bollywood and was featured alongside his muses, one of them being Kajol, on the cover of Vogue India.
