Faran Tahir, the Pakistani-American actor who shot to fame after starring in Iron Man as a terrorist leader, Raza, is clearly having his moment. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Faran Tahir will star in the upcoming superhero series, Supergirl, which also stars Ally McBeal herself, Calista Flockhart. The actor scored a role on USA Network’s new hit series, Satisfaction. In just its second season, Satisfaction has managed to charm critics and viewers alike, so it’ll be very interesting to see Faran Tahir in this particular show.

Faran also landed a role on the show, American Crime and now, the actor has landed his fourth gig for television this year with a show called Land of the Outlaws.

According to the press release, the futuristic TV series is set in the year 2064 where America recovers from “a viral pandemic that ruined the world”. Technology is under prohibition and the land is ruled by “Lawmen” with a Wild, Wild West mentality to go along with it. In the midst of all this is Faran’s character, Utah Harjo, “a former lawman turned leader of the Southside gang”.

For Faran Tahir, 2015 is turning out to be another prolific year. He is certainly no stranger to the world of American television. Having starred in several television shows over the years, Faran’s a familiar face for so many of us. Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds, The Blacklist, How to Get Away with Murder are just some of the shows that have featured Faran. The actor also held his own in small but memorable roles in films like Charlie Wilson’s War, Iron Man, Star Trek and Elysium. So here’s to Faran Tahir, an actor who makes news for his work and not for social media trials and diatribes aimed at other artists. Hamza Ali Abbasi, Shaan, take note(s).
