It’s true that the Hindi channel, Zee Zindagi, which features the best of Pakistani dramas and airs in India (among other places) has managed to help boost the television industry of Pakistan. And one actor who understands this fact well is Adnan Siddiqui. “I would like to say ‘Shukriya’ (thank you) to Zindagi for airing my shows in India as the response that I am receiving from fans there is amazing. Earlier, when I used to go abroad, only people from Pakistan would recognise me, but recently when I was in Dubai, I saw a different fanfare altogether. Indians were coming up to ask for my autograph and it felt so great,” Adnan is quoted in a statement by IANS.

The actor who starred in the Hollywood flick, A Mighty Heart has risen to prominence on both sides of the border after starring in popular television dramas like Mere Qatil Mere Dildaar, Kaisi Ye Qayamat and Ruswaiyaan.

“I’m thankful to Zindagi for giving Pakistani talents a platform to showcase our skill and also bring the people in both the countries closer. I would also like to say ‘Shukriya’ to all my fans for their constant support,” Adnan added.

In addition to starring in many popular television dramas, Adnan Siddique is also starring in Hassan Waqas Rana’s ambitious film, Yalghaar alongside Shaan Shahid, Humayun Saeed, Ayub Khosu, Ayesha Omar, Umair Jaswal and Sana Bucha, with the latter two making their big screen debut respectively.
