Pakistani films seem to have overcrowded local theatres with their presence. Mahira’s Bin Roye maintains a foothold even in its third week and so does Wrong No. despite all criticism while newbies Shah and Dekh Magar Pyar Se are hanging by a thread. Ayesha Omer’s Karachi Se Lahore is enjoying a successful run. Amidst such a busy local film scene, Abhishek Bachchan’s small-budget All Is Well is all set to make its way to the theatres this weekend.

Also starring Rishi Kapoor, Asin and Supriya Pathak, the film is being touted as a family entertainer and has the expertise of director Umesh Shukla, of Oh My God fame, backing it. Match this with Abhishek’s comic timing and Rishi’s ease on screen and that makes it worth a watch. The plot revolves around the notion of a dysfunctional family, a popular subject in Indian cinema these days, (Read: Piku and Dil Dhadakne Do) and how an escapade works as a catalyst for their relations with each other. If you are in the mood for a light-hearted, tear-jerker, All Is Well might be your best bet.

Other options include Akshay Kumar’s Warrior remake, Brothers, and the action-fuelled Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation.
