"Instep rounds up this weekend’s hot and happening activities around the country."

For fans of Hindi cinema, this is a pretty big week as Imtiaz Ali’s long-awaited film, Tamasha, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone is out this weekend. The story revolves around Ranbir and Deepika’s characters as they meet, lose each other and meet again, years later. The film is also a character study of what it means to lead your life based on social norms and expectations and what happens when you defy them

Unlike many prolific Bollywood projects that continue to insult the intelligence of the audience, Tamasha has some serious street cred going for it. Imtiaz Ali, the director, has given plenty of engaging and entertaining films in the past like Rockstar, Highway and Jab We Met. The film reunites Ranbir with Imtiaz, who last worked together on the award-wining Rockstar. With music maestro A.R. Rahman serving as music director and two actors who seem genuinely thrilled to share the screen together, Tamasha will make for a curious watch.

If by any chance, Bollywood is not your cup of tea, there’s always Spectre, the comeback vehicle of James Bond or Paranormal Activity: the Ghost Dimension, for the supernatural-horror film buff in you.
