Amongst the three leads in Ho Mann Jahaan, Sheheryar Munawar perhaps walked out with the most number of fans for his brilliant depiction of a rebellious, brash, aspiring musician, hailing from a middle-class background. Following the release, everyone moved on to their next project – Adeel Hussain to the sets of Dobara Phir Se and Mahira to India for Raees – and it was only a matter of time before the world knew of Sheheryar’s plans – the young actor has signed an action film, titled Project Ghazi.

In a quick telephonic conversation with Instep, Munawar confirmed the news; however, he refrained from revealing too much about the film right now. When asked him if he is playing the lead in Project Ghazi, he said, “I won’t do it otherwise!”

As far as the plot of the film goes, Munawar claimed that “it’s not like those typical army stories that you see these days”. The actor, who is currently training in martial arts for his role in the film, maintained that since it’s an action film, he is focusing more on the physical aspects of his character. “It’s a different character altogether than the one I played in my last film. It’s slightly more sober; a character whom people can look up to,” he added.

The film is expected to go on floors by the end of this month and will take about 3 to 4 months to complete.
